*I didn’t have to pay the bill at the end of the dinner* Writing this blog makes me so anxious, I feel like I have sold my independent food blogging soul!! Haha. I’m such a worry wart. So here’s the story – Kenny – the very eccentric, hugely famous on the Melbourne food blogging scene AND lover of street food who writes at Consider the Sauce invited me a little bloggers gathering at Third Wave Cafe. DonToo

I strolled past this place and the smell of teriyaki was overwhelmingly nice, I had to go in. Looking at the menu, the meals were dirty cheap$6.70 for a teriyaki chicken don. Petty Session Cafe

This place is a huge lunchtime hit! You might not be able to find a table to sit at despite its huge size. Meals are quick to serve because they are largely pre-cooked kept warm. Today I couldn’t resist the lamb roast. Roast of the Day $14.50 IT was a huge generous portion. Lamb was nice and tender with gravy so it was tasty. Next door was a delightful little bookshop, worth a visit even if you weren’t waiting for a table at Cornershop. It really wasn’t long [...]

west48-6

It’s hard to believe after moving to Footscray in February this year, I still have so many brunch places I have yet to visit. West 48 is a mixed bag, good and bad reviews on Urban Spoon make it interesting. We got there pretty early on a Sunday morning, around 9am, so tables were plenty. It’s a small little place, seats by the window, one big communal high table and about 4 more tables inside with another 3 outside. The [...]
