Gold Leaf

Gold Leaf on Urbanspoon

YumCha is one of my favourite food pastimes because you get to see before you eat so to speak!

Try to go with a group of people so that you can conveniently share and try more dishes! unfortunately, on this occasion, I went with mum so we were a table of two and had to limit our choices, otherwise we would a great deal of food left over.

Let me begin by saying, you need to book a table at Gold Leaf! Even for a table of two BOOK IT! We were told there was a 15 minute wait for table, but actually were seated within 5, but had a limit on how long we could stay.

Some of my favourite dishes include prawn dumplings, scallop dumplings, shark fin dumplings and the ones below, the non dumpling is a beef tendon type delicacy.

Chicken Feet

And of course the famous Chicken Feet! This a bizarre like of mine. I’m not sure why I like the fatty chicken feet skin, but I love it. Can’t go to yumcha without ordering this dish.

This scallop dish sucked me in because it looked pretty but wasn’t very nice. The western mushrooms and broccoli just wasn’t a good fit.

Egg Tarts

My absolute must have to end a Yum Cha dining experience! If you don’t like eggs tarts, there is something WRONG with you!! Apologies to those who can’t have eggs.

Gold Leaf was a pleasurable experience! Left with a full tummy and good feeling. Would have liked to try more dishes.

Tao Tao House still holds the title for my favourite Yum Cha place though.
